Product Description
The strength of the Nottingham HORIZON turntable lies in its simplicity and rigorous adherence to quality standards. A small motor integrated into the chassis translates the ideal 33 and 1/3 or 45 revolutions per minute to the platter, without transmitting any unnecessary vibrations to the heavy four-kilogram platter. In addition, Nottingham has chosen to equip its entry-level model with a dedicated wooden platform, which in most cases eliminates the need for advanced anti-vibration platforms to achieve a full-bodied sound. No other manufacturer has opted for such a solution in this price range.
The turntable's excellent reputation is evidenced by the words of Mr. Michael Fremer of Stereophile magazine, who in his comparative review of the HORIZON wrote: "IT HAS A MAGIC THAT CAPTIVATES IN A SPECIAL WAY".
Thanks to this excellent review, the turntable was included in the prestigious Stereophile Recommended Components list for 2003. In addition, it was awarded Best Buy in the UK's HiFi Choice magazine in 2004.
The reissue of the Nottingham HORIZON turntable, unlike its original which used a Rega RB - 250 tonearm, will be available for purchase with the original Nottingham Analogue Ace Space 10" tonearm.
