Product Description
DIVALDI GOLD IN ONE is the latest integrated amplifier from DIVALDI, a successor to the highly acclaimed DIVALDI INT-02 model.
Like our previous designs, the device features DUAL MONO architecture and a number of proprietary solutions, ensuring unmatched sonic qualities.
The new integrated amplifier refers to earlier DIVALDI devices, whose form was designed by the outstanding, award-winning Polish industrial designer Piotr Jagiełłowicz. The electronic design is the result of the work of a well-coordinated team of talented designers who are also music enthusiasts – Waldemar Łuczkoś, Wojciech Markowski, and Jerzy Sołtys. The overall concept and direction of the work was supervised by chief designer Włodzimierz Duval.
GOLD IN ONE is not only a unique contraption, but also an avant-garde electronic design that directly translates into top-class sound, combining the best features of tubes and transistors. It is worth noting that we have been developing this project for many years, which has allowed us to refine every detail, even the smallest ones. The amplifier itself is manufactured to the highest world standards, thanks to advanced production processes and extremely precise machining of the housing components. All this makes our new device an excellent choice for the most demanding listeners who expect reference-class amplification. It is a proposition for those who want to own an extraordinary device combining excellent sound with a solid, thoroughly thought-out and perfectly crafted design.
What makes the GOLD IN ONE stand out?
- The amplifier operates in class A with variable bias current saturation for the power transistors. This mode of operation ensures stable amplifier performance at any volume level. Most importantly, it also ensures that GOLD IN ONE always operates in class A without switching to class B mode, which is what many other amplifiers and power amplifiers do.
- The amplifier uses a low negative feedback loop (known as “Low Global NFB”), which ensures optimal operation of the entire audio circuit. At the same time, it does not generate audible dynamic distortion which is a problem with many designs operating with the NFB.
- Our new integrated amplifier has two independent power transformers dedicated to audio and carefully designed dual power supplies with a huge power reserve, totalling 1000W. This allows the amplifier to handle various loads very well, unlike many other Class A designs, which often have problems with current efficiency during large dynamic swings.
- The power supply not only has a battery of long-life capacitors with a of approximately 100,000 uF, but also boasts separate circuits for the voltage and current stages. This, in turn, ensures optimal operating conditions for each of them, which is particularly important for the sound-critical VAS (Voltage Amplification Stage).
- Dedicated coupling and isolation transformers are used in the input stage, thanks to which the amplifier achieves better compatibility with a wide range of sources.
- We have also ensured high-quality RCA and XLR sockets. Switching between inputs is achieved by the means of high-quality hermetic switches that were carefully selected with sonic qualities in mind.
- The speaker outputs are switched on by a low-loss relays via a special circuit that ensures optimal operation of the power stage.
- All surface-mounted components (for overall better sound quality) are selected by hand, as are the output transistors. These, in turn, are carefully matched and have been selected after many hours of measurements and listening tests.
- The amplifier is equipped with a remote control (as well as buttons on the front panel), which is easy to use and made entirely of metal.
- The heat sinks are made in an innovative horizontal arrangement, not found in any other design of this type in the world. The heat sink is hand-assembled from precision-machined aluminium plates. Large copper elements are mounted to it, to which the control and power transistors are attached. This solution ensures excellent heat dissipation and allows all key components to operate under the same thermal conditions, which increases the amplifier's resistance to temperature changes.
